Steve Campbell has more than 25 years of experience leading and developing investor relations and communications teams to deliver creative and differentiated materials and messaging to key stakeholders.

Throughout his career, Steve has served as a trusted advisor to senior executive teams and boards of directors and developed extensive relationships with industry professionals, portfolio managers, analysts and proxy/governance teams. Today, Campbell serves as a Principal with DrivePath Advisors, a boutique financial communications firm.

Campbell led investor relations, corporate communications, sustainability/ESG and government affairs teams for Newfield Exploration Company for more than 20 years. His leadership was repeatedly recognized by institutional Investor Magazine’s “Best IR Program” and “Best IR Professional.” Upon Newfield’s acquisition by Encana Corporation in 2019, he joined Encana as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. He helped to lead the Company’s redomicile to the United States, a rebranding of its corporate identity as Ovintiv and the successful resolution of a shareholder activist campaign. Campbell began his career in investor relations in 1993 with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Campbell has been active in numerous professional and charitable organizations throughout his career. He served on the communications committee for the American Petroleum Institute and helped lead the formation of America’s Natural Gas Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, one of the nation’s largest outdoor concert venues, and as Chairman of the Salem Lutheran Trust in Tomball, Texas.
